From 10 yrs ago, we arrived and saw all the changes that made the resort even more exciting to come back someday.
We love the added closeness to the Country Music Theater and Soundwaves
Service was aweful, said my room I booked was not guaranteed and gave me a king room instead of 2 queens because they didn’t have anymore. Said I could have a “queen” rollaway only to discover they only have “twins”. Even after confirming with her that with the queen rollout we could still sleep 4 people, she confirmed that it indeed was a queen and yes we could sleep 4. Which was not true.... since it was only a twin bed. Took over 3 hours to get my luggage up to my room and after several calls to the front desk and bell services I went downstairs to bring it up myself... nobody followed through on any of their promises when I called before going down. Went down to find a line wrapped throughout the lobby of people complaining about the same issues I was experiencing. Horrible experience! When talking to the front desk manager Michael he told me he couldn’t comp a night for my inconvenience but he would waive the rollout bed fee for the 3 nights I was there... what!!!! You give away my room and then want to charge me for the rlextra rollaway twin bed!!! It’s a shame that the service is so aweful as this was a convenient location for my daughters cheer comp to stay. For the price I paid I will never stay again. We found old fruit under a chair in our room and the line to get to and from places with the elevators was at some time a half hour wait. I do not recommend this hotel.
Very good accomodation and definitely a real recommendation. Simply an experience. Our stay was too short, unfortunately.
Spacious and quiet clean rooms, well equipped, friendly and attentive staff, facilities within the hotel (restaurant, Starbucks, bar...), nice garden layout inside the hotel itself....
Nothing particular, I just find the prices of the restaurant a little excessive (continental breakfast at $18) but this can probably be understood for a hotel of this standing.
Addition of a $15 "resort" fee is ridiculous. I was there for a business meeting. I had neither time nor inclination to avail myself of the "resort" facilities, but there was no option to decline. This hotel is out in the middle of nowhere. I mean, really, really nowhere. There is plenty of empty space around it. So $22 to park my car overnight is also ridiculous. Had I realized that the $279 quoted room rate would be upped by the silly "resort" and parking charges, I would have stayed across the street. I will never stay at this hotel again.
The location and shopping/ restaurants .
The first room I received had very heavy smoking smell. Thanks for moving my wife and I to another room.
The environment was beautiful, food great and staff was incredibly helpful and congenial.
Loved everything but would have liked to used the pool/hot tub but it closed early on Sunday. Our conference ran late every evening.
lots of activities in area and good selection of restaurants
the hotel did not properly market hours for hotel restaurants and some activities - need to update
The view, the atrium, the night club Pose, the room, all are great and wonderful.
Too pricey, few options to eat in the hotel.
The fact that I was inside but it feltlike being outside. No bugs, animals running around and tempature control was a big point. The fireworks and the mini show was beatiful. The staff was wonderful and I loved the National Pastime.
Well 1 night the maid did not clean out room until almost 11pm and that was after several complaints.
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing and pampered day at the spa. The pool was great however, needs to be warmer it was freezing. Perhaps a glass skylight would allow for the sun to warm the water a bit. This was our second time at the Gaylord and we will be back!
Pool water was freezing, once again a glass skylight would warm it .
pretty and clean, except they charged us for parking and we dont think they should charge parking to guests who have a room with them. No complimentary morning breakfast for the price :(
It was a very nice, clean and fun hotel.
Very expensive, especially the food in the area.
They lost our reservation and it took an hour to find it. Then they did not have the room we had reserved available. We wasted the next morning changing rooms. There is no place to eat breakfast that is not a buffet. The room service prices are much too high. The location is unhandy for doing business in D.C.
I enjoyed the entire facility. It has many entertainment options. I would have preferred an option that was more focused to those on a lower budget. Beds and Pillows were fabulous. Desk clerks were very kind and provided great customer service
